Read About Our Advisors About Dr. Paul Kim Dr. Paul Kim is the Chief Technology Officer and Assistant Dean of the Graduate School of Education at Stanford University. He is also the Founder and Advisor of Seeds of Empowerment which is a Non-profit Global Education Institute (Funded by UNESCO) and the advisor of Asian Development Bank since 2019. An education technology entrepreneur, Dr. Kim leads initiatives involving the design of learning technologies, educational research, and community development. Some of his notable initiatives include: Dr. Kim has also dedicated himself to international development through education and information technology strategies and has advised Saudi Arabia’s national online education initiative, the national evaluation of Uruguay’s One Laptop Per Child project, Rwanda’s national ICT planning, and institutional advancement efforts for numerous universities. In 1987, he created the Multiple Intelligence Developmental Assessment Scales (MIDAS) as a tool to help someone better understand his/her own unique intelligences so as to be able to enhance intellectual performance, career development and personal satisfaction. His work on MIDAS and in the field of Multiple Intelligence has been affirmed by Dr. Howard Gardner of Harvard University widely recognized as the originator of Multiple Intelligence theory. Over the past 25 years, MIDAS has been used by over 50,000 individuals worldwide spanning in countries such as US, UK, Singapore, India, China and beyond.He has authored 11 books aimed to guide teachers, students, parents, school administrators and psychologists in implementing MI theory in their daily lives. Among the books and educational materials he developed were an award winning “Phonics Zoo”, a parenting book -“Fulfilling your child’s potential”, a set of thinking books and the “Habits of S.U.C.C.E.S.S.” which is published in Singapore, India and Thailand. He has rich experience in school management and has been running schools and markets. In recent years, he has been focusing on K12 education, online education and camp education. In 2006, he joined Global IELTS Education Group (NDAQ: GEDU) and became the first president of Global IELTS which was renamed Pu Xin Education Group (NYSE: NEW) In 2011, he founded and is the chairman of AEUA (云南美华高中) International High School, an affiliate middle school of Yunnan Normal University.
